Dr Xiaojia Lee
Xiaojia has spent most of her working life in a busy emergency vet hospital in Melbourne, Australia prior to her return to Singapore. Veterinary emergency and critical care(ECC) is her passion and she hopes to continue providing quality ECC to the critters of sunny Singapore with her team at Westside.
Dr Germaine Lee
Germaine spent close to a decade working in small animal practices, both locally and abroad, before graduating from the University of Sydney in 2011. She has completed the graduate certificate in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound and is particularly captivated by the demands of emergency medicine.
Dr Jean Ong
Through her course of her studies Dr Ong gained considerable experience via clinical placements across rural and metropolitan practices in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. After graduation in 2008 she returned to Singapore and has been practising in clinics locally since. She's always had a special interest in emergency and critical care. Joining Westside will allow her to pursue her interest.
Dr Zarah Chowdhury
Zarah obtained her veterinary medicine degree from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2015. She worked in a small animal practice in rural Suffolk where she gained a keen interest in emergency medicine working in the only out-of-hours clinic in the area. She returned to home and joined the Westside Emergency team in early 2019 in order to follow her passion for emergency and critical care for all beloved pets back here in Singapore.
Dr Max Boulay
Since graduating from the University of Queensland, Max has gained a high level of experience, working in a variety of clinics from Australia to the United Kingdom. He enjoys the fast pace of the emergency room, and has joined Westside to use this experience to improve the emergency and critical care of Singapore’s pets.
Dr Lai Jun Yu
Jun Yu has gained considerable years of experience in both small animals and farm animals locally and abroad. Through her course of studies and clinical experience, she is passionate in her work to provide quality emergency and critical care for her patients.
Mabel has been working in the veterinary industry for 8 years. She holds a certificate in Veterinary Nursing along with experience that is beyond her qualification. Her passion and love for animals is what propels her. She is meticulous in ensuring that patient care is not compromised. You can always trust Mabel to be generous with her affection to all patients under her care.
Kelly has been working in large veterinary hospitals for the last seven years. She believes in constant learning to better provide quality treatment and care for every patient. She has a definite soft spot for strays and is currently adopted by a senior dog and crazy cat.
Lovel first entered the pet industry in 2009 as a certified pet groomer. Finding her passion, Lovel quickly transitioned to vet nursing at a local clinic 4 years ago, dedicating her time to caring for the sick animals. She has since graduated with a specialist diploma in veterinary clinical procedures from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and looks forward to expanding her skillset at Westside Emergency
Victoria has been in the Veterinary Industry since 2017 and has since completed a Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Victoria has always had a soft spot for animals and has always been intrigued by the idea of caring for the ones that can't speak for themselves. Her interest in emergency and critical care led her to join the team and she is constantly learning to better improve herself. Outside of work, Victoria’s interests include cooking, eating,
Arfian started his career as a veterinary nurse in 2016 after rediscovering his strong passion for animals. He has a keen interest in emergency and critical care, given his background as a medic during his NS days. He’s constantly seeking for more knowledge to be better nurse and to better help the animals under his care. Outside of work, you can find him actively helping out in animal shelters or working out at the gym.
Chrystal was previously an Early Childhood Educator for 7 years and decided to switch to her childhood passion to work with pets. She feels that working in the emergency is an endless learning experience as every patient comes in with different medical needs. She is looking forward to gaining new veterinary skills and knowledge by enrolling in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's vet nursing programme.
Jane has been in the veterinary industry for 17 years. She holds a certificate in veterinary nursing, European postgraduate certificate in western veterinary acupuncture and chronic pain management, and is currently pursuing NCert in Emergency and Critical Care. She aims to achieve Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care status. Jane sets high standards for herself in terms of veterinary care and providing quality customer service.
Ang Zhi Ying
Zhi Ying started working as vet nurse after graduating with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience and has since obtained a certificate in Veterinary Nursing. Affectionately addressing all patients as puppy or baby, she finds great joy in nursing them back to health, and is currently adopted by a bunny couple.
